Yeh you're right... I think only the most common words are in the Māori Dictionary on Te Whanake..
With kurikuri though, the only meaning I've ever seen of that word is a type of plant/tree...This is what I found in the Kōrero Māori 'He Pātaka Kupu' (a play on words with the phrase 'he pātaka kai')

He tipu e 60 henemita te tupu. Aciphylla squarrosa.
Plant that grows to 60 centimeters. Aciphylla squarrosa.
Where'd you find that meaning?
