from, whereas kei hea = Where
is/are.
For example:
Question:
Nō hea tō whaea? =
Where is your mum
from?
Answer:
Nō Haina taku whaea. = My mum's
from China.
Question:
Kei hea te wharepaku? =
Where's the bathroom?
Answer:
Kei waho,
kei te taha matau o te whare. =
Outside,
on the right side of the house.
